I have to say I was skeptical of this camera after reading some of the reviews, but after the first use in Curacao, I have to say I am very happy. The still pictures above water came out excellent especially in good lighting. Now for underwater.
I had no issues using this camera during several hours of snorkeling. I know others had complained of battery life and some leaking, I did not encounter those issues. The battery life was more than adequate to capture almost 200 images (including numerous videos) on the all day catamaran trip to Klein Curacao.
The videos were all as good as could be expected for a camera in this price range. The sea turtles feeding and swimming just feet from me are as clear as they were when I was there.
The only negative I have is the screen to view what you are shooting. Although there are several settings, they are sometimes difficult to see while snorkeling, and a lot of my pictures were taking by guessing.
