This is a slick little product. The light source is absolutely perfect for slide viewing. However, since the image is not magnified in any way, you may want to invest in a high quality magnifying glass if you need to view it any larger than actual size. I did have some difficulty extracting slides from the slot, since when fully inserted the edge of the slide is flush with the top edge of the unit. Since my hands are large and I don't have fingernails to grab a hold of the slide once it's in place, I wound up putting a few fingerprints on some of the transparencies in my efforts to extract the slides from the Mini. I found that I needed to pull forward on the top of the slide in order to have any edge at all to grab on to. The plastic cover for the "screen" can also be a little bit difficult to slide off. Other than these ergonomic issues, this is an outstanding piece of equipment that is just what you need to review slides, alone or passing them around the table!

The Kodak mini slide projector is a handheld, very bright light source for viewing any standard 35mm slides, no matter where you are. Its light source is a nonreplaceable cold-cathode fluorescent lamp with a lamp life of approximately 10,000 hours. This viewer weighs a mere 2.8 ounces and is small, only 2.8 by 3.8 by 0.7 inches, with a 1.60-by-1.04-inch slide stage, making it extremely portable and ideal for vacations. This battery-powered miniprojector is also compatible with standard low-voltage DC 6-volt power supplies, giving you a reliable power source almost anywhere. This viewer can only be used with cardboard or thin plastic mounts and filmstrips. It can be used with its wire desk stand (included), held in one hand, or attached to any common neck strap.
